 Although luck plays a significant role in roulette, players can manage their bets using a variety of systems:

 The Martingale System entails doubling your wager following each loss in order to recoup past losses with a single victory.  On the other hand, when losing streaks are long, this technique might cause substantial losses. ​ 

 Calculating wager amounts according to the Fibonacci sequence is known as the Fibonacci system.  Although it is less risky than the Martingale, this technique is still not without its risks. ​

 In the D'Alembert System, your bet goes up by one unit following a loss and down by one unit following a victory.  The goal of this strategy is to make betting more even-handed. ​

 With just one zero, European roulette offers a smaller house edge than its American counterpart. ​

 Due to the inclusion of both a single and a double zero in American Roulette, the house edge is increased. ​

 The house edge on even-money bets can be further reduced in French roulette by implementing extra rules such as "La Partage" and "En Prison," which are basically the same as in European roulette. ​
